What is IELTS? Benefits of IELTS Test

IELTS, short for International English Language Testing System, is the world's most trusted English test. It was founded in 1989 and is currently managed together by the British Council, Cambridge English Language Assessment, and the International Development Program of Australian Universities and Colleges (IDP).

The IELTS exam evaluates English language proficiency in four separate sections: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. More than 4 million students take this exam every year as part of international study plans. The exam is recognized by more than 11,000 institutions, organizations, and government agencies in over 140 nations. For students planning to study in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand, the IELTS exam is a gateway to elite universities and greater career opportunities.
