Student Visa Requirements to Study in New Zealand

If you want to study in New Zealand from Nepal, you should first understand the requirements and steps involved in the application process. Here is a list of requirements you must know:
 

  • English language proficiency test results (at least IELTS 5.5 and above).
  • Offer letter from university/colleges
  • Academic transcripts
  • Letters of recommendation and Statement of Purpose (SOPs)
  • Updated CV/Resume
  • Financial proof (tuition fees and living expenses)
  • Loan sanction letter
  • Bank statements (at least six months)
  • Last three years' income tax papers of all your sponsors
  • ‘Sponsorship for Temporary Entry’ form

  • Select a program and university in New Zealand registered with NZQA. 
     

STEP 2: Receive an offer letter 

  • Apply to your chosen institution and secure an official offer letter.
     

STEP 3: Prepare Financial Proof (Tuition Fees and Living Expenses) 

  • Show proof of funds covering tuition fees and living costs (NZD 15,000 per year or NZD 1,250/month).
     

STEP 4: Gather medical and police clearance certificates 

  • Submit a medical clearance certificate and a police report as required by immigration authorities.
     

STEP 5: Complete and submit the Visa Application
