  • You can work part-time, usually up to 48 hours per fortnight. 
  • You are permitted to travel in and out of Australia freely.

Eligibility Criteria for Australia Student Visa

To study in Australia as an international you must meet the eligibility criteria as follows: 

  • You must be 17 years of age or older.
  • You must meet the English language requirements.
  • Your course must be registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
  • You must submit a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for every course you intend to study.
  • You must hold valid Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the entire length of your stay in Australia.

English Language Requirements

Sponsorship from extended relatives, including uncles, aunts, or other close family members, is not accepted. 

The total income source required depends on your chosen programs and courses.  You can show income source through sponsor salary, rental, pension, business or foreign income. 

For Bachelor: An annual income source of NPR 18–20 lakhs must be demonstrated. 

For Master: An annual income source of NPR 22–25 lakhs must be demonstrated. 

Required Income Source Documents includes:  

  • Salary sheets or bank statements (last 12 months)
  • Employment letter or work verification certificate (if employed)
  • Business registration & audit reports (if self-employed)
  • Annual income verification certificate from ward (notarized and translated)
  • Tax clearance certificate (last 3 years) 

 

Bank Statements 

If you are taking education loan: 

For Bachelor: NPR 40-45 lakhs loan is required 

For Master: NPR 55-60 lakhs loan is required 

Required documents to show includes: 

  • Education loan sanction letter from bank
  • Property valuation report (minimum valuation of 1.5 crore plus)
  • Land ownership documents
  • Loan Disbursement letter
  • Loan Account Statement 

 

If showing cash deposit: 

Then a 6-month-old statement and cash transaction source. 

Additional Supporting Financial Documents 

  • Affidavit of financial support (attested by the lawyer and Notarized)
  • Relationship certificate with your sponsor
  • Property ownership certificates (land, house – if used for income proof)
  • Rental income documents (ownership deed + rent agreement or receipts)
  • TDS slips or tax deduction proofs (if employed) 

 

GS Requirements (formerly known as GTE) 

You must meet the Genuine Student (GS) requirement for the Australia student visa. For this you must answer few questions as asked in online student visa application form, which includes:
